-- HikaShop version -- : 2.6.4
-- Joomla version -- : 3.6.5
-- PHP version -- : 5.6.29
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Chrome 55.0.2883.87
-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : none
I have my home page designed with a slideshow that should only display on the home page, but when I click a category or a product from the home page content, it is still showing the slideshow assigned to only the home page. I need it to take on the default template instead. How can I do this?
It's worth noting that it's respecting the default template when accessed through the main menu, just not when access via the component content. Please advise. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Hi,
Your home menu item is a HikaShop menu item displaying a listing of your categories.
And when you use such menu item and click on a category/product of such listing, you stay on the same menu item for all the pages.
You have two solutions to do what you want:
1. Instead of a HikaShop menu item for your home page, you can create a Joomla article menu item and in that Joomla article, use the loadposition system ( docs.joomla.org/How_do_you_put_a_module_inside_an_article%3F ) of Joomla to insert a HikaShop content module configured to display the same content. In the menu item setting of the module, you can configure the "target" menu item of the links of the module so that the menu item will change when you use them.
2. You can use Advanced Modules Manager in order to restrict your slideshow module based on the current category thanks to its more fine grained resitriction settings over the default Joomla Modules manager.
