Description Notshowing, than showing twice

Hey guys..
Having an issue with the menu item to a category NOT showing the description.
Have a certain category, OUTSIDE of our regular store. ( in order to keep donations separate from products )
Within my menu item options I have SHOW description. However the page displays the image, item name but not the description.

However upon selecting an item ,going to the product page, it than shows the description just under image, as well as
a tab with the same description in that. [ attached file Hika-ProductPage.png ]
Typically I would expect to find short description and long. However your system does not use this
function. SO am unsure why this is? Any help / suggestion would be great.

Hi,

The "show description" setting is for the current category of the listing. So if you turn it on, it will display the description of the main category when you reach the menu item.
It's not linked to the description of the product description.
If you want to display the product description, you can change the product layout setting on that same setting screen to "image and description" instead of "image and title".

Hi,

That's because you've selected the "tabular" layout for the product page.
So you get the mini description below the image, and the full description in the first tab of the tabs system below.
Change the tabular layout to "default" like it is by default, and you'll see that you'll get only the full description at the bottom.

The only options I have are
Default
Reversed
Tabular

There are no options to have the product Description show with the product image
There are no options for the description to show on the product page

- HikaShop and Joomla version
- Front end Screenshot results if you have display issue.
- Back end screenshot configuration of your product page (in Main HikaShop configuration, Display tab and Products options)
- Detailed description of your issue
