Only one replaceable product in cart

Hi,

We are developing an online print service which users should select only one design(product) from products listing and then proceed to checkout. I have set the Maximum number of items in the cart to 1. Is possible to replace the product in the cart once a new product is added to the cart? I mean the old product be automatically removed and the newly selected one be added instead?

Hi,

There is no option for that. There is however an option to block the number of items in the cart by creating a limit (menu Products>Limits with the Essential and Business editions) so that if the person tries to add a second product to the cart, the system will refuse with the corresponding error message. The customer would then have to delete that product in the cart in order to add the other one.

Thanks for your reply. For our situation I think it is better to redirect user to checkout after selecting one product and let him delete and return back to listing if he wishes to change his selection.
