I have a client looking for a store that shells shoes but they sell the soles and straps separately. What we're looking for is a facility to select a variant (sole) and then strap and overlay the strap on top of the sole's image.
it's possible, with the HikaShop variants system, but more precisely variants have his own image.
As you can see on this Demo page
, when you select another variant, you will see the image change, and so we can imagine a picture of your shoe & the strap together, that will do the trick I think.
But we want to let people select a sole or a strap from select boxes 1 and 2. However, if they select a sole and then also a strap have the strap image display ON TOP of the sole image.
You should be able to do that.
First, you could remove the third characteristic.
Then, in the variants tab of the product, you should have three types of variants:
- the variants when "just sole" is set to "please select" and "just strap" to something else
- the variants when "just sole" is set to something else and "just strap" to "please select"
- the variants when "just sole" is set to something else and "just strap" to something else
For the first type of variants, you can set the image of the sole, for the second type of variants, you can set the image of the strap, and for the third type of variants you can set the image for both the sole and the strap together.
