Custom field to show when option is "YES"

Hi,

I need a custom field to show in a product dispaly only if before that an option has been chosen.
Is that possible? if yes, HOW ?

I have already created the custom field and I have already created the option, I just don't know how to make them dependet.

Hi,

It would require some custom coding.
The simplest is to edit the file "option" of the view "product" via the menu Display>Views and modify the javascript code there to add a few lines to hide/display the area of the custom field based on the value of the option being changed.
A javascript developer should be able to easily do that for you.

Another question is why am I noe getting the value of the custom field in the order details backend? as a customer I can see it in the frontend cart area.

I would recommend to check the display settings of the custom field first and make sure that they are set to yes for the different backend pages.
