Product stock level display issue

I hope someone can help with this as its a bit odd

On my site I have the product stock level overidden in languages from the standard to X_ITEMS_IN_STOCK="In Stock" so it shouldn't show the quantity we have in stock on the front end. however I have noticed that a few new items I have recently added are still showing "%s items in stock"

Can anyone suggest why?

It is also doing it on an offline copy of the site with the same software versions

Beware that there are two different translation keys: X_ITEMS_IN_STOCK and X_ITEM_IN_STOCK
You need to change both.
