Can Hikashop handle half quantities

Hi,
I've a potential client that wants to sell fabric on her website. She wants to be able to list the price of the fabric at so much per yard, but sell the fabric in half yard quantities. For example, a yard of material may sell for $10, but she wants to allow people to order 1/2 yard, 1 yard, 1.5 yards, etc.

Is this possible? and how would I go about doing it?

Hi,

It's possible. For that, you need to set the "quantity input" setting of the product to "none" so that the normal quantity field doesn't appear on the product page, and then create a custom field of the table "item" so that the customer can select / enter the quantity you want with the choices you want and the install and enable that plugin so that value entered in the custom field will be multiplied by the price of the product once in the cart :
