Product listing not sorted as expected

-- HikaShop version -- : 5.0.4
-- Joomla version -- : 4.4.4
-- PHP version -- : 8.1

In display options for Product, I have set the "ordering field" to be "product_code", however, when I look in the product listing on the front page, it does not have any effect. I am wondering, if there is anything that overwrites the default setting.

Any good suggestions ?

You have your relative product listing to check, more precisely in relatives Item Menu, in details :
- Go in Menus => Main Menu
- Select your relative Product listing Item Menu
- Go in your Products Options tab, then look for Data Display part
