Main product description not appearing when there is variants

-- HikaShop version -- : 4.4.5
-- Joomla version -- : 3.9.21

The default description is not appearing for the product.

We found that we need to click on edit button for the default variant, and save again (without editing anything in actuality).

Why is this so?

I'm not sure. It could come from a customization of a view file. Temporarily switch to the default template of Joomla and see if you have the issue without saving once. If not, then it must be linked to a customization in a view override in the folder templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/html/com_hikashop/product/
