-- url of the page with the problem -- : nordicdental.dk

Hi
After updating HikaShop, my custom "call-back" button has disappeared.

When there are product variants, the price isn't displayed until a variant is selected; previously, the price of the standard product was shown. The standard product price is missing when no variant has been selected.

On new products, it do not show recomended price.

Hi,

The price is not missing, the product page is waiting for a variant to be selected before it displays one.

I looked at your page for the Real 10. Nothing is selected in the "Antal skinner" dropdown when the page opens, and in that state HikaShop hides the price, the quantity field and the add to cart button. When I open the same page with a variant already selected, the price 4.500,00 DKK, the quantity and the "Læg i kurv" button are all displayed normally.

HikaShop does this when the variants of a product do not all have the same price, so that a customer is never shown a price which is not the one of what he is about to buy. On a product with a single characteristic like this one, it only happens when the setting "Characteristics dynamic display", in the Display tab of the HikaShop configuration, is set to "Always". If you set it to "For two characteristics and more", that product should open on its default variant again, with its price and its add to cart button displayed as before.

About the call-back button, I could not find it anywhere in the code of the page, not even hidden, so something else is going on there. Could you tell me how it was added, with a view override in your template, with the customization of the frontend from the backend, or with a custom field? Then I can tell you what the update changed for it.

Glad the prices are showing again.

The phone button was added in a customised copy (an override) of the product page file show_default.php. That copy is still on your site, which is what your screenshot shows, but your product pages no longer use it. They now display HikaShop's standard product page. Your site runs the YOOtheme template, and HikaShop only uses an override stored in that template's folder. Your customised copy is most likely stored for another template. It was also based on a much older HikaShop version, so I wouldn't reuse it as it is.

I've attached show_default.php.zip. Unzip it to get show_default.php: it is HikaShop 6.7.1's product page file with the "Ring til os for mere info: 2872 0160" button (calling +45 2872 0160) added back in the same place as before.

Upload it via FTP or your hosting file manager to templates/yootheme/html/com_hikashop/product/show_default.php, replacing the file if one is already there. Then reload a product page: the button appears below the add to cart area.

You can also do it in your backend: in Components > HikaShop > Display > Views, choose the yootheme template in the template filter and edit the "show_default" file of the "product" view. Replace its whole content with the content of the attached file and save. This screen is explained here: www.hikashop.com/support/documentation/4...op-view-listing.html

If the button doesn't show up afterwards, please send us a screenshot of the Display > Views list filtered on "show_default", so we can see which template your customised file is stored for.

Thank you for the screenshot: it shows the file is now in the right place for YOOtheme. The reason the button still doesn't show is that your product pages don't use the "show_default" layout at all. They use HikaShop's "Gallery" product page layout (large images on the left, price and add to cart in a grey box on the right), which is a different file, show_gallery.php. A change in show_default.php is therefore never used on your product pages.

I've attached show_gallery.php.zip. Unzip it to get show_gallery.php: it is HikaShop 6.7.1's Gallery product page file with the "Ring til os for mere info: 2872 0160" button (calling +45 28 72 01 60) added below the add to cart button and the product specifications, as before.

Upload it via FTP to templates/yootheme/html/com_hikashop/product/show_gallery.php (the same folder as the show_default.php you uploaded yesterday), then reload a product page. You can also do it in Components > HikaShop > Display > Views: filter on the yootheme template, edit the "show_gallery" file of the "product" view, replace its whole content with the content of the attached file and save.

The show_default.php you uploaded doesn't harm anything and can stay or be deleted.

Alternatively, if you prefer the standard layout instead of the Gallery one, you can set "Layout on product page" to "Default" in Components > HikaShop > System > Configuration > Display ( www.hikashop.com/support/documentation/54-hikashop-config.html ); then the show_default.php file you already uploaded is used and the button appears. Please note that this setting can also be set on a category (in its own "Layout on product page" option) or on a product (its "Page layout" option), which take priority over the configuration.
