1) When I, as a customer, process an order an error is received after selecting the paypal payment option:

ERROR::
0 Attempt to assign property  "quantity" on null -

Please see image: paypal error 3
The purchased item is a donation. there is not quantity in the paypal form
The order does go through, but, an error message is received - this is not something a customer should see.

Hi,

1) The error message is most likely not related to the donation or to PayPal. We get exactly this error from HikaSerial (your HikaSubscription add-on) when the order gets confirmed: a "Serial Per Order" entry (or a pack added by hand to the order) still points to a serial pack that has since been deleted. When the payment confirms the order, HikaSerial tries to add serials from that missing pack and stops with "Attempt to assign property "quantity" on null". The order is already confirmed at that point, which is why it still goes through.

To stop it now, go to Components > HikaSerial > Plugins, open "Serial Per Order - HikaSerial plugin" and look at the entries listed there: one whose Pack column is empty points to a deleted pack. Edit it and choose an existing pack, or unpublish or delete it if you no longer need it. In an order affected by this, the Serials area of the order also shows an "Order assignation" line with no pack name.

We have prepared a fix for HikaSerial so that a missing pack is skipped instead of causing this error. It will come in a HikaSerial update, which your current maintenance covers. Until then, correcting the plugin entry as described above avoids the error.

2) The page in your screenshot is the payment page of the PayPal Checkout plugin, and it works as intended. Each button or form on it is a payment method that is enabled in the plugin's settings. To make it simpler, go to System > Payment methods in HikaShop, open your PayPal Checkout method and, in its "Payment methods" section, untick what you do not want to offer: "Credit and debit cards" removes the card form and its billing address, Skrill removes the Skrill button and the name field above it, and Google Pay, Apple Pay, PayPal Credit and Pay Later remove their buttons. Then save. The PayPal button itself is always shown. The settings are described here: www.hikashop.com/support/documentation/4...l-checkout-form.html

The shopping cart on the right of that page looks like your HikaShop cart module. If you do not want it there, change the module's menu assignment so that it is not displayed on your checkout menu item.
