ok i need a little help with the discount settings

when i apply a discount code

ie code thermalVelocity is code gives 30%

when i go to the check out the discount is applied to everything inc the shipping i only want to discount the product not the total amount

see below the discount is being applied to the full amount inc shipping

Total
£ 46.80
Coupon -£ 16.85
Shipping £ 10.68
VAT £ 7.24
Final total £ 40.63


on another note when i try to set up a discount to just a Category or product the discount does not work

please can you help me get my shop running so the discount works as this is why i paid for the hikashop product as i wanted to fully use the discount feature

but another really big problem has occurred and it is costing me sales

im having problems with browsers internet explorer and also apple devices but google chrome seems fine

when a customer adds a product to there cart on internet explorer and apple browsers soon as you click on another page or add another product or even go to pay for the added item it disappeared from the cart.

this does not happen on chrome

i was only made aware of this just last night,

please can you help me solve this issue first then i will get onto the discount problem?

Hi,

This looks like a caching issue on your website.
Please make sure that the caching option of the joomla configuration is turned off, that the cache plugin is disabled, that if your template has some caching options, that they are disabled, and if you use a CDN on your server, that you deactivate it, and it should then work properly.

Regarding the discount 'coupon' that you setup, if it applies on all the order and not just the products, it's probably that the "Coupon percentage applies to product only" option of your coupon is not turned on.
Regarding the fact that the coupon doesn't work when you set a category in it, it's probably that the "Including sub categories" option is not turned on in your coupon.

my server is with 123reg and im using Parallels Plesk i never used to have these problems but this seemed to all happen when i made the move over to this server from 123reg.

im not sure what cdn is and i can not find any setting in plesk for this.

in joomla cache is turned off now and the plugin is stopped. im still having the problem if needed i can give you access to my install

if it also helps my template is made by using artisteer and i can not find any cache settings there as well

i removed the cookie setting and it seems to load fine now on internet explorer

ok back on topic regarding the setting up the discount

with the settings below i can get the discount to work but everything becomes discounted at 30%

i think my issue is down to when selecting brand - thermal velocity nothing is listed under brand so ie the discount dose not show.

how do i import products to be listed under brands

In the category field of your coupon, please make sure that you select the "product category" main category if you want the coupon to apply to all the products in the cart, and if you want it to apply only to some products, please select the category of these products in that option.

I don't see the link with your brand and your coupon so I don't understand your second question. Could you please provide more information ?
