Changing Tax and Shipping calculations

Hi I tried to suss this out myself a few months ago and didn't get anywhere. Back on the project now and hoping maybe I can get some advice on here. In checkout, order emails, and invoices, I need to change how shipping and tax are handled. I need to show tax (VAT) figure including tax applied to shipping. Is there a simple thing I can do to replicate something like this (this is from a Amazon UK order email I had on me)

• Items listed (price inc tax) £7.00
• Item Subtotal: £5.83
• Delivery & Handling: £3.33
• Total Before VAT: £9.16
• VAT: £1.83

Order Total: £10.99

I've sussed out using the language screen to change the names to anything I want, I'm more concerned in getting to show the summary in the order and calculations done above. Especially having the subtotal being before tax, and having the shipping before tax, and all tax totaled (inc shipping) on one line. I gather I might need to change templates but a guidance of the code would be appreciated. Cheers

So if you want to customize these rows of the product listing of the order, you'll have to modify:
- for the checkout: the file "cart", of the view "checkout" via the menu Display>Views
- for the invoice: the file "invoice" of the view "order" via the menu Display>Views
- for the order emails: the order status/creation/admin notification emails via the menu System>Emails.

Just in case you're taking feature requests/wishlists for future versions - Guessing would be over the top if this doesn't get asked a lot by other users, but for me would be a nifty feature if within configuration a user could optionally choose an advanced 'custom order layout' option to alternatively build up their layout of the checkout/orders/invoices in a similar way you can currently build the 'checkout workflow' by dropping elements into a simple certain linear order. Eg have various elements you can drop in and get used uniformly throughout ALL order breakdowns, with elements such as:

• Products listed inc tax
• Products listed w/o tax
• subtotal inc tax
• subtotal w/o tax
• shipping inc tax
• shipping w/o tax
• Tax (of subtotal)
• Tax (of shipping)
• Tax (of grand total)
• Grand Total
• Coupons,etc

I suppose even a series of dropdown boxes listing the elements instead of the drag and drop method would do.

What I need is to make the tax and total lines in the email notifications match the HikaMarket Control Panel Invoice
where you have:
Subtotal
Sales Tax
Shipping
Total

Instead of
Subtotal
Shipping
TOTAL without Sales Tax
TOTAL with Sales Tax

I know I can change the two "Total" lines to subtotal and Total, but how can I insert just a Tax line?

That's already the case by default as we've worked on uniformisation of the cart display throughout HikaShop. If you see the "total without tax" instead of the tax amount in the emails, in means that either you've turned off the "detailed tax display" setting of the HikaShop configuration or that you're using an old version of the emails where the change wasn't implemented yet.
