my cart is displayed in the french part not in the english one

when I clic on "add to cart" in the english version of my site nothing happen and when I go to the french version I can see the cart with the product I added from english version
What did I do wrong ?

thank you for proposal but I solved my problem by creating a new module for cart in the other langage ( and understood better how it works )
