Weight is to small for any shipping methods

I've read the faq and read as many forum responses I could but couldn't find the answer to why when I test buy a product I get this error message: The cart items combined weight is too small for all the possible shipping methods. I've configured and enabled a UPS shipping method and an USPS shipping method. I gave them weight restrictions that fell within the parameters of the product I am trying to buy (minimum weight 1 lb, maximum weight 19 lbs) and no weight restrictions (the product I'm trying to buy weighs 3lbs). I get the error message everytime. Please help. Thanks.

You have a lot of issues in your screenshots.

First, in the USPS plugin, you should leave the warehouse field empty.
Then, in the UPS plugin, you should remove the dash at the beginning of the name, city and post code fields.
Finally, in your products, you should also configure dimensions.

Okay thanks. I've done those things and I still get the response "The cart items combined weight is too small for all the possible shipping methods". I've configured a manual shipping method using the UPS image with a set price of $9.80 and that method will show up on checkout but when I disable that manual shipping method and try to test buy a product the error message still shows.
So I still have the problem.
How are the UPS and USPS shipping methods supposed to work? Do they query UPS and USPS to get current shipping costs for the product?

Yes they query the USPS/UPS servers.
But if you set min and max weight in the restrictions area of these shipping methods, they first make sure that the total weight of the products in the cart are within that range. If you get that error, it means that it's not the case. So either make sure that the total weight of the products in your cart is within 1 and 18lbs or remove these weight restrictions and it should work.

Thanks Nicolas. I had no restrictions before and it didn't work. I put in restrictions and made my weight fall within those parameters and it still didn't work. I just took off the restrictions on a UPS and USPS shipping methods and I still get the error code. Now in my registration area on the front end the only state that shows is Rhone. Could that be the issue or no? When I use a manual shipping method they will always show with no error message but if I unpublish the manual shipping methods and leave the UPS and USPS shipping methods enabled I still get the error message.

If you look at the settings of your shipping methods, you can see that you configured a restriction on the zone so that the shipping method will only apply if the user is within the USA. If your address is in Rhone (France), which is not yet part of the USA, the shipping methods will be discarded of course.
Please remove these restrictions too or change your address to within the USA if you don't want to allow shipping internationally.

Okay Nicolas. I've removed all restrictions on my UPS and USPS shipping methods and I still get the error message: The cart items combined weight is too small for all the possible shipping methods.

Please provide a screenshot of the shipping methods listing that you have in the backend with all your shipping methods listed.

Thanks Nicolas. Here are the screenshots as they are configured right now. I have 3 manual shipping methods unpublished so that the system must use either the ups or usps shipping method. When I publish the manual shipping methods they will work. Thanks again.

The problem is coming from the fact that you didn't set any warehouse for your UPS shipping method, Also you should check all USPS shipping services so that you can see what service will be available for your account and package that you want to send.

HI. I had a warehouse set up and it didn't work so I took it off. I've put a warehouse location in and it still doesn't work. Same error code. Is there a place to configure a warehouse other than just entering in the information on the UPS plug in?
