Shipping Costs

Hey,

in our shop we sell books (shippable goods) and ebooks (virtual goods). The price for shipping is 3,50 €. If the order is over 30,00 € the shipping is free.

If someone buys books an ebooks together and the value of the order is over 30,00 € there are nevertheless 3,50 € to be paid for shipping. I set the shipping methods with inclusion of virtual product price but the manual shipping plugin seems to ignore the price of the virtual products. If someone buys only virtual goods or only shippable goods everthing works fine but mixed orders unfortunately doesn't work in this way.

Hello after a longer time ...

we tried out to put in a warehouse in the shipping methods and now it works fine.

But now we figured out another problem ...
We have actually two payment methods - collect on delivery and paypal. If a customer buys non-shippable goods there shouldn't be the possibility to pay via collect on delivery. That works so far but if a cosutmer chooses shippable and non-shippalble goods in one delivery he gets the possibilty to pay via collect on delivery and that's not practicable for us.
I add the screenshots of the options for both payment methods and would be so thankful for a solution.

If a customer buys non-shippable goods there shouldn't be the possibility to pay via collect on delivery

The only way to restrict Payment methods regarding the products that are in your cart, will be to :
- Restrict your Shipping methods regarding the products that are in your cart
- Restrict your Payment methods regarding the availability of your shipping methods by using the "Shipping method" option of your Payment configuration page.

But that is what we have already done. Non-shipable goods doesn't need a Shipping method and the Payment method "collect on delivery" should only be possible for goods that can be shipped by manual shipping (see in the Screenshots before).

Everthing works fine when a customer has only shipable or only non-shipable goods in the cart. If he has shipable goods in his cart he can pay via paypal or collect on delivery, if there are only non-shippable goods he can only pay via paypal BUT if there are some shippable and some non-shippable goods in the cart the customer can choose between paypal and collect on delivery - that is our problem! What we want is that the customer than only can chosse paypal. How can we make this work?

Their is no option to exclude a payment method when a product is in your cart, if you want to use Hikashop options, then the solution will be to :
- set the "use price per product" option of your shipping method to YES
- block that shipping method through your virtual goods configuration page by using the "block" option of the "Shipping prices" tab

But if you do that you'll only be able to buy non-shipable or shipable goods not both at the same time.

To do exactly what you want to do the only solution will probably be to directly use some code customization through your payment plugin file which will require some development skills.
