Digital Download link redirects requiring login

I've updated my website and Hikashop to the current versions. Completely rebuilding the site and now hikashop in the current version requires a paid customer to log into the site after purchasing a digital download, to download said digital download. All the previous versions allowed the download to be downloaded from the link in the email. How do I correct this so that the download link is live and doesn't require the extra step of logging back in to joomla to download?

It has always been like that.
You just probably didn't see that because you were already logged in when you clicked on the download link.

The only way to not have to login for the downloads, is to use the guest checkout instead of a normal registration. In guest checkout, customers don't get a user account and thus the download links they get directly leads to the downloads.
