Shipping fragile products

1. If someone buys more porducts, including a fragile one, then we would like to increase the price of the shipping with a fix amount independent of the shipping method.
2. After a certain amount the shipping is free of charge. In this case we don't want to add this extra payment in case of fragile products.

Are these possible to set?

That should be easy to do.

1. In your shipping methods, activate the "shipping price per product" setting.
Then, in each product, you'll have a new "shipping prices" area where you can define a fixed amount for each shipping method when that product is in the cart and that amount will be added on top of the shipping method's price.

2. Similarily, you probably have a "free shipping" shipping method for that. So just don't set a shipping price in your product for that shipping method and that will work.

The problem with this method is, that if someone buys 2 pieces of fragile products, than the system will count double extra shipping price.

Then you could for example set a really high weight in these products.
And you could then have two sets of shipping methods:
- ones with a max weight below the high weight of these products (so that these shipping methods would display when no fragile product is in the cart)
- ones with a min weight equal to the height weight of these products (so that these shipping methods would display when at least one fragile product is in the cart).
And then you would be able to configure different prices for each set of the shipping methods.
