Custom Javascript application integration

I have created a custom Javascript application for my website. A customer can choose different products (not affiliated with HikaShop), the application calculates an overall price and shows it as a string. My question is: Can I make HikaShop read that string as a product price and then pass it to PayPal for processing?

You can do that by calling the add to cart URL of a product and having a custom item field with the calculated price in it and then having the donation plugin use that price for the product:
