How to Customize the Shipping Options

-- HikaShop version -- : 2.6.4
-- Joomla version -- : 3.6.2

Hi I have signed up for the USPS and have set the priority mail and first class mail to the site but I want to show the shipping options as "how many business days" for the deliveries. How do I do that?

Hello,

We just updated the USPS shipping plugin so that you'll be able to easily translate/edit USPS services name using these translation keys through your language files via "Hikashop->System->Configuration->Languages" :

PRIORITY
MEDIA
EXPRESS
EXPRESSINT
EXPRESSINTBOX
FIRST CLASS
FIRSTCLASSINT
INTERNATIONAL
PRIORITYINTSMALL
PRIORITYINTDVD
PRIORITYINTLARGEVIDEO
PRIORITYINTMEDIUM
PRIORITYINTLARGE
ENVELOPE

Note that you'll also be able to translation your shipping services descriptions only by adding "_DESCRIPTION" to its translation key (PRIORITY_DESCRIPTION for example).
www.hikashop.com/download/languages.html#translate

I don't see any options for the USPS shipping. This is all I see under the "shipping" section on the Languages:

;shipping
SHIPPING_MAX_VOLUME="Maximum volume"
SHIPPING_MIN_VOLUME="Minimum volume"
SHIPPING_MIN_WEIGHT="Minimum weight"
SHIPPING_MAX_WEIGHT="Maximum weight"
SHIPPING_MIN_PRICE="Minimum price"
SHIPPING_MAX_PRICE="Maximum price"
EDIT_PLUGINS_BEFORE_DISPLAY="You need to edit and save the plugins before they can appear in the checkout"
X_PACKAGES="%s package(s)"

I also have installed the USPS plugin you sent me but nothing is changed. Can you tell me specifically where to update the shipping options?

Thanks,
Karen

Hello Karen,

I'm sorry if I wasn't clear enough.
That new version of the USPS shipping plugin will display the USPS shipping service name as it is if no translation is added on your translation file, so if you want to change the name of your USPS shipping services you'll have to :
- Go to the page "Hikashop->System->Configuration->Langages"
- Edit your language file

- Add that line if you want to change the name of the "Priority Mail" service :
- Add that line if you want to change the description of the "Priority Mail" service :
