Inserting payment link in system generated order created email

How do we insert a payment link in the system automated message after an order is created, to capture those who forget to pay or want to pay later? Currently, when we try to insert the URL, it does not get linked.

You can add the URL in a translation override:
www.hikashop.com/download/languages.html#modify
It seems that it might be what you did.
But maybe you did it wrong.
Can you provide more details on how did you try adding the URL ?
