Square Payments Setup

I have installed the square Payments Plugin for a client for the first time but I'm really struggling to find the application ID etc in Xero. The instructions I have found in other posts on this forum appear to be for an earlier version of the Xero dashboard. Where is this information found?

You'll find your application ID through your Square merchant space, you'll just have to login and configure your "Square application".

Thanks, I did find it after spending over an hour in the square account, but I don't know which version of the api I should be selecting. The default page in the Square dashboard has warnings that the api is not the most recent. Should I be using the default api being offered or upgrading to the latest???? Using the default api and a sandbox app ID I get an API error of "Resource Not Found".
Some documentation would be greatly appreciated.

You should use the last API version and test it again, and if it’s still not working, you can send us an email with a temporary backend access so that we can directly test it :

I just checked how you configured your HikaShop Square payment method via « Hikashop->System->Payment methods », and your issue seems to be coming from the fact that you didn’t set a location ID.

You can find it through the location section of your Square merchant account.
