I just bought square and can't get it to work. I'm getting this error and don't know what it means.

Can give us more information can you tell us which step you are having that issue?
And we will need to experience the issue on your website, for this provide these elements please :
- Url link to your backend (administrator)
- Backend user references (with maximum Acl)
