when the user has some items in the cart while his is in the homepage and click on the mini cart at the top right corner, he cant go to check out the page is just refresh at the homepage.
You need to select a menu in the option "force a menu on checkout" in the config under the tab checkout, otherwise, the checkout will be displayed on the same menu it comes from.
