discount error

hello, excuse me for my english.
i have a problema with discount.
i have installed hikeshop essential 1.3.8 for a test on joomla 1.5.
when i create a discount i don't be able to apply a discont on products/category.
can you help me?

If you try on our demo website, does it work ? If yes, then maybe it's a problem in your website. Otherwise, it's maybe a problem with your browser.

That's the screen which would appear with the starter version.

Are you sure you installed the essential version over the starter version ?

You need to go to your order details on our website with the menu Your account->Your orders. Then, open your order and download the essential package. Then, install it on your website like you did with the starter version. Then, you should see the restriction part where you can limit your discount/coupon per product or per category.

Yes, you can use discounts with the sarter version.
But you can't restrict them on a product or a category.

i can use discount (with hika start version) without start date-end date. if i use delta date, i can apply discont (all over products).

I have the same problem, and it exists on your demo as well. There are actually a couple of problems. When you make a discount and it is a dollar amount no discount is applied. If it is a percentage it is applied, but if you want the discount only to apply until a certain day, the discount disappears. Something needs to be redone in the code. Also, I am not sure why there is not a sale price area, meaning for a limited time the price is $100 on sale from $120 and the $120 has a strike through it. Even if it is factored into your discount right now, a lot of shop pages will show the first price striked through, then the discounted price. My client right now is asking for this, but I have to build a work around.

Thank you for reporting those problems.

For the discounts not being applied, we were able to reproduce the problem. You can replace the file administrator/components/com_hikashop/classes/currency.php by the file enclosed in this post and that should fix the problem

For the sale price we actually prepared the code for it but we don't hae yet the option in the interface.

If you want to force the display of the price before the discount is applied you can replace the file components/com_hikashop/views/product/tmpl/listing_price.php by the file in the archive enclosed.
The price will be striked and that can be customized in CSS.

The modifications in the first file will be added in next release.

For the second file, it will be activable via the "show discount" option in content modules/content menus and the configuration/display options.
