Click manage variants without added characteristic

By mistake I clicked managed variants button in a product page without having added before a characteristic to the product. This had a result of keep receiving at Firefox the following error message and not being able anymore to login.

An error occurred during a connection to www...
SSL received a record that exceeded the maximum permissible length.
Error code: ssl_error_rx_record_too_long)
The page you are trying to view can not be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.

That should not produce such problems. Could you try to access to your backend with another browser ? Does it work ?
If so, you should clear your browser's cache and try again.
I see that you're using HTTPS to access your back end and that the SSL connection for the HTTPS requests cannot be established. You should try to connect to it with HTTP instead of HTTPS.
