SOLVED - Blank popups

Hi,

First of all great work on this shopping cart system !

I have the following problem:
All popups on the shop turn up blank...
So its not possible to add information on checkout of use the continue shopping etc...
There is not a single popup in the front-end that works...

I tried to install new version again, but didnt help.

Please help me so i can start to use the shop like it supposed to be !

Hi,
I would recommend to turn on the debug mode and the error reporting options of the joomla configuration and try again.
That should display an error message instead of a blank page and help us understand what is going on.

Turned debug mode on but i dont get any errors... Working on ipad now dont know if thats a difference...

tried firefox, still nog errors...
any one got an idea ?

If the popup is still totally blank, it might be because of the template. Could you try to use another template ?
Also, you should look at the php error logs or activate the php errors in your php.ini as to know the error message behind that blank page.

It turns out to be a template thing... when i select another joomla template it does show the popups...

How can i fix this ?

i did follow these steps and added the line to the index.php

HikaShop uses the core Joomla messaging system to display messages on your website so if you don't see any message when you don't enter correct information during the checkout process, that's probably because your Joomla template does not contain the tag to display Joomla messages: <jdoc:include type="message" />

Or sometimes, your template has an option to turn that display off. So first, check about such option in your template options screen and turn it on.

If you don't find it, please edit the index.php file from your template and make sure the tag <jdoc:include type="message" /> is added to it.
If not, please add it just before the tag <jdoc:include type="component" />

This tag should already be present in all templates.

but still blank popups...

I think that the problem is coming from your template's "component.php" file, then you should maybe configure it or contact your template's developer

it turns out the component.php of the template was empty. I copied it from the standard template and it works fine now !
