Variants don't inherit weight from main product was created by kingmanos

Hello from Greece,
I use characteristics in some products, but the variants don't inherit the weight field from the main product as they should. This causes a major problem in shipping. One way to solve this is to set the weight manually for each variant. But in some products, the characteristics combinations result in 239 different variants, which makes the manual edit of weight extremely time consuming.

For example:

How can the variants inherit the weight of the main product?

Hi,

Several users have report same king of problem.
An issue is already open for this bug, as soon I will have some time to develop, I will test it.
My first test worked so I have to take more time in order to reproduce it.

Hi,

Nicolas has confirmed that some patch are now include in the latest HikaShop 2.0 version.
So, if you re-download HikaShop 2.0 it should fix the problem.

Hello Jerome,
I have just downloaded and installed the latest available Business Edition, but unfortunately the problem remains. I removed the characteristics and I reapplied them on the product, but still no weight on variants.

I didn't found any problem regarding variants and weight, but I think that your problem is coming from the shipping plugin, so can you give the right to upload another shipping plugin, then I'll be able to found out where the problem exactly is ?
