shipping fees disappear changing order quantity

hi,
I have a shipping fee (meaning administration costs in my case) attached to products. However, if a customer changes the quantity of the product while in checkout the shipping fee is removed. Any clue what is happening here and how I can change it?

For example order this product and change the quantity, you will see the fee disappearing:

Hi,

That would happen if you removed the shipping view from the checkout workflow option or if you turned off the auto select option of the Checkout tab of the configuration. Could you check these ?
