State Fields not showing for new user registration

Having problems with out site
www.activ8fitness.com.au and the registration of new users in the shop

the goto check out and the fields are missing for the state. It was originall showing the french states but i solved that by disabling them but we still don't get the ozzie ones, unless you switch to nz and then back again.

Getting around it by changing the field to not required. we need the postcode more than anything.

You have to change the default values for the country and state custom fields.
Enable the french zone, go in Display > Custom fields, change the default country, then the default state, and disable again the french zone.
