Characteristics not working was created by scupoli

I click add and only the name field shows. Now value or anything else.

Please help!

I don't see the problem. It's the normal popup.
You're supposed to enter the new value of the characteristic in that "Name" field.

Enter the value in the name field? I'm confused....

Step by step process on how to add a characteristic to a product would be nice.

Sure,

You can for example :
- Go to "Hikashop->Products->Characteristics"
- Create a new characteristics named "Type" for example and add 3 values like type1 / type2 / type3

- Then go to "Hikashop->Products->Your product"
- Add your characteristic through your characteristic tab
- Then you can also manage your product's variants through the "manage variants" button

Yes I managed to get this working. However now, when my customers go to checkout there is no "Add Note To Seller" option. I've enabled this in my PayPal settings, but it still does not s how up.

Is this a Hikashop bug? or setting??

That option will add a not link on the paypal payment screen, not on the checkout, so that's normal.

You would have to create a custom field of the table "order" via the menu Display>Custom fields with the Business edition in order to have a not field during the checkout.
