Customers able to purchase locked items

Hi, I have customers able to purchase out of stock items that are held in a cart, even though the item has been moved to a category, that should only be accessible to admin/ super users? you cannot access the product from the website but if the customer has added it to a cart, before it was moved, to what should be an 'inaccessible' category for the public, they can purchase it?

This should not happen?

Hi,

There is no check on the categories of the products once the products are in the cart.
In fact, there is no check on the categories for the add to cart process either.
The categories restrections are used for searches, filters, listings and the product page so that a product can only be accessed from a category if he has access to that category.
If you want to "lock" items, you need to do it at the product level.
