Google is indexing URLs that do not exist

Hi,

I see several errors under the Google Webmaster Tools, crawl errors section. They have URLs going to a controller = 1, and this gives a server error of 500. Can you tell me why these are indexed in Google? Can I eliminate them... easily?

Here is an example... I am using sh404SEF:

• index.php?option=com_hikashop&Itemid=372&ctrl=1&lang=en
• sh404SEF url is accessories/1

Hi,

HikaShop do not generate URL with that "ctrl=1", so I don't know how you can have them but I don't think that is related to HikaShop.

It appears it is a Hikashop URL... doesn't option=com_hikashop mean it is a HiakShop URL?

Another anomaly ... may be related... the Itemid is incorrect for this product, why?

This URL seems to exist... why? It should not exist. How did it get generated? I should get 404 error for it.

Hi,

It is not because you can find "com_hikashop" in the URL that it means that HikaShop created that url.
For example, the hikashop_completeLink function always use the parameters in the same order : "option", "ctrl", "task", ....
So the first url in your previous post is not a URL generated by an HikaShop function.

The url have all parameters to make Joomla work and call HikaShop for the displaying of the page.
But, once again, it does not mean that HikaShop created that URL !

You have to know where these URL are ; in which page.. The target is not import, the source is !
