Zone > How to create e new type zone

Hi Guys,
i'm trying to create a new type zone but it seems impossible trough the control panel.

As you said on your documentation " Type : Type of the zone. It can be: country, state, tax, ship, payment or discount."
I need to create a new zone called "City".

How can i do this?

I had a look inside db but i found nothing...

You can't create new types of zones.
We didn't plan on that being a possibility.
Why do you want to do that ?

I news to create a list of city to associate when the customer select Italy like a country.

I was thinking about to creat a custom field and associate it to a new area zone called "city"... I think is a good idea.

What do you think about?

Then why not change the type of the city custom field to "single dropdown" and enter the cities as values of the custom field ?
It will be faster to do and it doesn't need any modification of HikaShop.

Because there are a lot of City .... and maybe I could upload it trough SQL query... can I do the same by custom field drop down?

With time and development, you can have a plugin which will create a new type of custom field which can read data from the database.
