RE hikashop characteristics and user input

Hi guys,

just tried out the demo, seems great!! however,

is there a way to assign a different type of characteristic that enables users to input text into a box, and then when checked out and paid, that data from the input box gets submitted with the order information?

for example if someone wanted custom text on a particular tshirt or had to supply additional information like this for any given product, would this be doable?

Hi

Yes, it's possible with custom fields of the table "item" and of the type "text" that you can create via the menu Display>Custom fields with the Business edition.

is there a way to test the business version of the site in demo?

Sure. The Business edition is already installed on our demo website. Both the backend and the frontend are accessible (remember the user account demo/demo as explained on the home page of the demo website, it gives you access to all the backend).
