Automatic Variant Code

I have to enter a code for each variant that I add for a product. For example, Small, Medium and Large.

Is it possible to have the main product code automatically added to the code field of the variant when a variant of that product is created or does it have to have a unique code for each variant? This would save a lot of time.

Hi,

Each variant has to have a unique code.
Note however that when the system generates the variants for you, it uses the main product code + the id of the characteristics values to make the variants code.
If however you add a new variant yourself, it's indeed your job to enter the variant product code you want. We'll add some code to generate the product code automatically when you save a variant using the same algorithm that we use for the automatic generation of the variants.
