Discount for repeat customers

Hello,

Is it possible to automatically assign a discount to repeat customers when they login?

Ideally when an order ships, a flag should be set for the user to identify them as a repeat customer.

When they next log on, we would like a product to cost £18 rather than £20 for a new customer (we have a few variations of discount depending on the product purchased). Or if that is not possible could a flat rate percentage discount be applied?

Can we achieve this without using discount codes/coupons?

It's possible yes. Create a discount (menu Orders>Discounts) and restrict it to a specific user group that you will have created in the Joomla user manager. Discounts, unlike coupons, are applied automatically to the products if the restrictions match the situation.
Then, configure a mass action (menu System>Mass actions) so that you add that user group to the users when their order is confirmed. That way, you'll have them to a new user group after their purchase and they'll have the discount applied to the products automatically.
