Dynamic description / discount display

Thanks for your help with our questions to date.

We have two more questions to ask:

1. We want to give returning customers a discount and have set-up these discounts accordingly in HikaShop. However, the default display shows the discount price (See Capture1). We would like to show a before and after price, rather than the discount. Basically, we want it to be obvious to our customers that they are receiving a loyalty discount. Is this possible?

2. The top description in the single box product page ( www.continuitylenses.co.uk/en/single-boxes ) is not changing. We have used characteristics to list the products/cost and displayed them with radio buttons. The second field ('Power') uses options as there are many variations. When you click on a radio button, the price and the description at the bottom changes. However, the top description stays the same. How do we change this description dynamically to match the bottom?

Hi,

1. Edit your menu item via the Joomla menu manager and in the "products options" tab, change the "discount" setting there.

2. The top description doesn't support the dynamic refresh of the characteristics system.
The simplest would be to remove it.
If you want to have it support it, it would require that you modify the file administrator/components/com_hikashop/types/characteristic.php to change the javascript and add that field support, but you'll loose the change when you update HikaShop, and you need some developers skills to do that, so I don't recommend doing that.
