Hello .

we are using hikashop for an online shop for bikes and bikes accessories.

My client ask when the user from a specific area add a bike to his cart to suggest him a the assembly of the bikes as an additional service/product to add this also on his cart.

we can suggest this relevant service at the same time he add the bike on this cart or at checkout process.

could you advice how we can do this ?

What I would recommend in that case is either to have the service added as an option of the bike products or as a related products.
That way, it would display on the product page either as a dropdown above the add to cart button, or as a product in the related products area at the bottom of the product page.

yes but this service will be only for specific postal codes.

In that case, you could duplicate your shipping methods and have one set with an additional fee for the additional service. Then, in the shipping methods set with the extra fee, you can use the minimum and maximum post code restriction fields so that the ones with the additional fee would only display for the post codes you want.

Otherwise, a custom plugin could be developed to have exactly what you want but without any development, that's the closest you can have.

we can show this extra shipping when we have products from the specific category ? just only from bikes category .

If you activate the "use shipping price per product" of your shipping methods and in the products of that category, you can add an extra fee for each shipping method in the "shipping prices" section of the product edition page.
