Allow only acount creation from Hikashop and disable Joomla! account creation

Hi all,

Is it possible to disable account creation from Joomla! users component, and only allow account creation during the checkout process of Hikashop ?
And how to do this if it's possible ?

Hello,

There is actually no option to do that because Hikashop is actually using Joomla user, so their won't be any Hikashop customers if you don't have Joomla customers.

I had an idea, perhaps you could tell me if you think it's possible :
- I don't think Hikashop uses the public url of the Joomla! standard registration page right ?
- If I block the registration's page URL for outside requests, will Hikashop still works regarding the creation of new customer's accounts ?

Yes. Otherwise, you might also want to redirect the Joomla registration page to HikaShop's registration page. You can do that by activating the Joomla user registration redirect plugin via the Joomla plugins manager.
