Joomla admins automatically become customers

Hi there!

At our website we have 2 admins who sometimes want to place an order to check the checkout and payment process. Customers are only able to check out as guest, but when the admins want to check out, they can't with the email address used with their Joomla account. They will get an error message: "E-mail address already in use." "Click here to set a new password to be able to log in".

Is there a way to avoid this? So not syncing the Joomla admins as a Hikashop customer?

There isn't.
I can only recommend they use another email address and use an automatic redirection to their normal email address.
For example, they can create a gmail email address and use it for their tests after setting up email forwarding:
support.google.com/mail/answer/10957?hl=en
