Non-editable custom fields

I have created a custom field for users. is there anyway to make ths field non-editable in users profile page ?

In the settings of the User Syncrhonization plugin, you have a setting to turn off the edition of custom fields in the profile.
Also, in the settings of the custom field itself, in Display>Custom fields, you can turn off its frontend display setting so that the field can't be used on the frontend.

that setting in plugin was great if it was configurable for each custom field individuali but i have 4 custom fields which i want only ony of them be non-editable

i ended up doing it with javascript in front-end

In that case, turning off the "frontend" display setting of each of the custom fields would have been possible. Indeed, the setting in the plugin is global, but it's precisely because there is already a frontend setting in each custom field if you want some to be available and some not.
