Customer SMS notifications

I am looking for a recommendation for a HikaShop plugin for SMS order status notifications. I looked through the forum and found several posts about AcySMS, but development has stopped on that plugin now.

Indeed, the AcySMS extension was terminated by Acyba a few years ago.
It was forked by JoomBoost and it is now called JoomSMS:
extensions.joomla.org/extension/joomsms/
So that's what I would now recommend. It has a strong integration with HikaShop so it's the best if you want to have SMS capabilities with HikaShop.

For anyone reading this: we now have our own plugin for this, SMS order notifications . It sends an SMS when an order reaches the statuses you choose, with your own text for each one, and it can text your own mobile numbers when a new order comes in. The messages go through your own Twilio, Vonage, OVHcloud or seven.io account, which bills each message.
