Balances On Orders

Is it possible to edit an order and show an outstanding balance?

So if someone order 10 items but you only have 8 then 2 items will be on back order. I notice the history message option but this only leaves a message. It doesn't show an outstanding balance.

Hi,

You could add a new product to the products listing of the order with a negative price of these two items and with the name "outstanding balance" or something like that.

would this also be shown on the invoice for the customer?

Sure, note that you can have a preview of your invoice by using the "Invoice" button.
