No Order Emails Being Sent

We are doing a branding upgrade to the client site.
This Joomla install is brand new. New HikaShop install too,

When an order is place, the customer is NOT receiving any order email and neither is the Admin.
When in an Order in the back end:
Click on the E-Mail button DOES send an email OK.

Changing the ORDER STATUS to anything and selecting 'notify customer' DOES NOT send any emails.

NOTE: The Joomla install is sending emails out without any issues.

Sorry to hear. But maybe a simple reason.

First, AFAIK clicking in the backend on either Invoice or Shipping Invoice never sends them, only shows them.

That some mails are being sent, shows that the trouble is pretty surely caused by setup/config, the more as us others don't have the same trouble as you.

The one thing that should definitely trigger mails is an order being created, and the change of order status in the backend - the latter at least if you do select "notify".

If this doesn't happen, you should
verify that email settings are made and correct:
mainly in -> System -> Configuration -> Emails (all okay for your needs, and are there settings that your ISP might not like, leading to him blocking your outgoing mails?),
but also in -> System -> Emails (all wanted mails published?).

What you tell one can say as much as I did. Better guesses could possibly be made if you showed us screenshots of your settings. And again, make sure that your host (server) is totally okay with both your mail settings and content.

I forgot to mention that, in case you're having trouble with interpreting the backend settings, there's a Help button in the upper HikaShop menu, next to Dashboard. A click, and you get nice kinda "context help".

As mentioned in the first post, Joomla (and other components) are sending emails without any problems.
HikaShop email button (in orders) is also sending emails fine.

I read that in your first post and confirmed it, so no need to repeat again.

What about the factors I was tapping on?

This is not related. This email is the one sent when you edit an email in the backend and manually click on the send button.
As Lousyfool asked, are you sure that all the desired emails are enabled via the menu System > Emails ?
Do you have edited the emails content ?

Nothing edited.
All emails are on. They just wont send.

The only thing I did differently is to increase the Order Serial Number using the MySQL script you had provided.

And don't you have a plugin based on the function "onAfterOrderUpdate()" which pass the $send_email variable to false ?
Do you have edited the order statuses ?

Everything was as it should be.
In the end I completely uninstalled HikaShop, dropped the tables, and re-installed.

Working now, so looks like there was a SQL problem somewhere.
