Hi,
After adding a required custom field to either the address or user, is it possible to force a user to update these values either upon checkout or login?
Users that have already registered or entered an address prior to the addition of the new field are able to checkout without having the required value set to anything.
I would like to ensure that the value has been set before allowing checkout.
Thanks

Hi,
There is no option to do that. The required check is done when the address is saved. If the user is already registered, there is no address saving unless he edit the address himself.
The only solution would be to disable the addresses of the existing users so that they would be prompted to enter an address when accessing the checkout.

Thanks, what would be the best way to go about disabling the addresses for all existing users?

Hi,
To disable all the addresses, you can use the mass actions.
Via the menu System > Mass action, create a new one, select the data "address" and in the action part select "update the values" > "address_published" > INT > 0.
