adding customer number to the registration form

Dear support team,
According to my business cycle, I used to ask the customer who order from me to add his or her customer number with my company as I give them that number after they register for the first time(generated from a separate access database file), how can you help me in adding that field when ordering through trendy shop theme?
Note: i need a field to be added to the registration form to accept the customer number and i will put a notice as that number will be sent by me after registration so it will not be a required field.

As it's said on the documentation, if you want to add a new field through the registration form, the solution will be to use a user custom fieds : www.hikashop.com/support/documentation/i...orm.html#description

With the user custom fields (both essential and business edition only), you will be able to personalize the information you can gather from your customers when they register while on the checkout process. For example, if you want to know their birthday, you can add a custom field for that. Then, thanks to the integration with AcyMailing, you will be able to send automatic emails to them based on their birthday.

Also if you want to add a message after your registration, the solution will probably be to edit the "after_registration" file of the "user" view of your front-end template via "Hikashop->Display->Views".
