hi,

i have a shop with about more than 500 products that need to be managed and need to be updated on price and qtys .
i saw in the backend product listing that it shows product qty , price and published status and i can change published and order but i cannot change the product qty and price.

i want to add the ability to change the price and qty just like published status.
can you please help me on this case too ?

Hi,

Go in the menu System>Mass actions, create a new mass action with an action "display the results" with the columns you want to update and the name of the products and process the mass action.
That will give you a listing of the products and you can directly edit the columns in it by double clicking on them.

hi, thanks but mass action has its own difficulties for example when i want to list a category products the product's variants are not sort correctly under their parent product.
and when a product price has beeen set to 0 it's not editable through mass action.

i think it would be a better idea if i could some how edit the price and quantity right in admin > products just like published status.
and use mass action for my other stuffs!

can you help me do this ?

Hi,

In that case, you'll need to edit the file "listing" of the view "product" for your backend template via the menu Display>Views to add extra inputs in the backend listing, and also develop a system plugin to handle the saving of the data.
It's outside of the scope of user support. You'll need to find a 3rd party developer to help you with that customization:
