Invoice numbering changed by itself

Hi i have set to display the invoice numbering in a certain way

like in picture 1

one day (maybe after upgrading?) the numbering changed like in picture 2


in picture 3 i show the settings i did for the invoice numbering


this is important for me as for italian tax rules

how can i go back to the nubering i need?

I just found out that the wrong numbering happened just for 3 orders and than reverted back to normal numbering (the one i set)

this is creating a mess in my cronological order for invoices, a problem for italian taxes...

i really need to know what can couse this confusion and avoid it in the future

Now, also, is it possible to correct/edit the 3 wrong invoices?

Your "invoice number" option seems to be properly configured so can you check the status of your orders to check if they are set to a confirmed order status ?

Yes the order status is confirmed, i suspect that the invoice number is not added to those orders that are not immediately confirmed and instead an invoice with order number is created...... and than when they are confirmed (maybe they pay later...) the invoice is not updated with the proper number

Ok solved: you were right, the order number is than changed in an invoice number on the document only after the client pay the product....
