Characteristics Display Variants in Order

Hi

My client has a number of products which have variants. There are also custom fields including one for ETA which need to be shown in the orders back and front end. If the info is filled in on the variants it will show as per order screenshot. However this means that the same information has to be entered 3 times. Would it be possible to show the info entered on the main product tab rather than having to enter it in the variants as well?

Hi,

There is no option for that.
That would require several hours of development work to be able to take into account the value of the custom field in the parent product in each view / email / invoice etc where the custom product field value is displayed.
So it's possible, but a bit of work is needed.
